
National Society of Genetic Counselors
The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) is dedicated to advancing the genetic counseling profession and supporting genetic counselors in their work to help patients and medical professionals use genetic information to make informed medical decisions. NSGC is a community of more than 5,000 genetic counselors and genetic counseling professionals that focuses on the professional interests of genetic counselors and provides a network for professional communications. NSGC membership provides access to continuing education opportunities, professional resources, advocacy and the discussion issues relevant to human genetics and the genetic counseling profession. NSGC's J.E.D.I. Action Plan is a three-year plan designed to address J.E.D.I. from many perspectives across the organization. It was developed by the J.E.D.I. Action Plan Task Force and approved by the NSGC Board of Directors in June 2022. Kickoff of the Action Plan commenced in August 2022.
