National Alliance of State Prostate Cancer Coalitions

The National Alliance of State Prostate Cancer Coalitions (NASPCC) is a network of state coalitions, and groups and individuals interested in forming state coalitions. We support one another and the men and families of our states by identifying, developing, and advocating for policies that support high quality benchmarks such as patient education and multidisciplinary care. NASPCC has adopted three core strategic priorities that guide the work of and are designed to achieve the strategic goals of the organization. All operational or tactical planning and resource allocation of the organization is based on and directed to these priorities. The strategic priorities are: Development and Support of State Prostate Cancer Coalitions, Public Policy Advocacy, Education and Awareness. NASPCC helps to coalesce state prostate cancer coalitions, sponsors educational forums, and serves as a clearing house for programs and best practices. The organization aims to make prostate cancer a national health care priority. The National Alliance of State Prostate Cancer Coalitions focuses on best practices and education regarding prostate cancer early detection, treatment, and care. They adopt the NCCN Prostate Cancer Best Practices Guide and collaborate with various coalitions to enhance informed decision-making for patients. NASPCC strongly recommends that state advocacy groups familiarize organizational leadership with established best practices, and keep abreast of research and advances in prostate cancer care.
