Myeloma UK
We fund research work that looks to answer questions about the development, detection, and treatment of myeloma to help improve the future for people with myeloma.
We work with healthcare professionals to improve care and secure access to cutting-edge cancer treatments to give more choices to people being treated for myeloma.
We provide tailored information and support designed to help people with myeloma, their families and their friends live their lives to the full and manage their myeloma.
Our Mission
Together, with our dedicated community, we have transformed treatment and care for people affected by myeloma in the last 25 years. But when you’re living with myeloma, every day counts. We have more to do to find a cure and make sure that everyone can have the best life possible, today and tomorrow. Our vision is the same as it has always been – a world where myeloma doesn’t exist. But we need to go further, faster because people affected by myeloma can’t wait. Three core areas will now define our work: Preventing myeloma, Improving our knowledge of precursor conditions, Improving detection, Exploring precursor treatments, Targeting higher-risk and under-represented groups, Accelerating earlier detection of active myeloma, Treating myeloma, Championing individual needs and preferences, Supporting patient access and decision making, Developing the right treatments, Building an impactful clinical community, Reaching excellence in universal care, Living well with myeloma, Understanding survivorship, Maintaining quality of life, Guaranteeing high-quality ongoing support, Growing opportunities to meaningfully participate, Expanding support for psychological and emotional needs.
