Indian Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (IPWSA) is a registered, politically neutral nonprofit in India focused on Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). It aims to empower individuals with PWS and their families through awareness, support, inclusion, and national outreach. IPWSA supports member families to improve quality of life, enhances physical and mental wellbeing both socially and occupationally, and fosters dissemination of PWS information across India. The organization strives to reach every family with PWS, offers early diagnosis support, connects families with medical professionals, provides education and life skills resources, and offers financial and medical interventions. IPWSA is affiliated with IPWSO (International Prader-Willi Syndrome Organization) and ORDI (Organization for Rare Diseases India) and acts as a liaison to coordinate national and international events and conferences, promote cooperation on PWS research, and disseminate PWS material. Core activities include early diagnosis, medical fraternity connect, behavior management, dietary management and exercise, education, financial help, medical intervention, and patient support groups. IPWSA encourages volunteer involvement and partnerships to advance awareness and care for people with PWS in India.
